Pasta
Flaked salmon in a creamy Alfredo-style sauce over pasta — proper family comfort in about 25 minutes.
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to the pack, then drain and keep a splash of the cooking water.
Meanwhile, season the salmon with salt, pepper and half the garlic granules.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Cook the salmon for about 3–4 minutes each side until just cooked through. Lift out, flake into chunky pieces and set aside (discard the skin if you prefer).
Lower the heat. Add the crème fraîche, remaining garlic granules, dried chives and most of the cheese to the same pan. Loosen with a splash of pasta water and stir until smooth and warm — don’t let it boil hard.
Tip in the drained pasta and flaked salmon. Toss gently so everything is coated. Season to taste.
Serve with the rest of the cheese on top.
