Honey Mustard Sausages with Mash

Honey Mustard Sausages with Mash

Juicy sausages in a sticky honey mustard glaze, served with creamy mash. A proper comforting tea.

Ingredients (serves 4)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan).
  2. Place the sausages in a roasting tin and drizzle with the cooking oil. Roast for 20 minutes.
  3. While the sausages are cooking, boil the potatoes in a large pan of salted water until tender (about 15–18 minutes).
  4. Drain the potatoes and mash with the milk, butter, salt and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  5. Mix the honey and mustard together in a small bowl. Remove the sausages from the oven and pour the honey mustard mixture over them. Toss to coat.
  6. Return the sausages to the oven for another 10–12 minutes until sticky and golden.
  7. Serve the sausages with the creamy mash and some vegetables on the side.
Tip: You can use any sausages you like – pork, chicken or vegetarian all work well.
